Quelques jours avec une famille russe

Notre famille d’accueil !

Après le teasing de l’article précédent, nous n’avions plus le choix que de vous raconter ces 3 jours de débauche (on exagère à peine !) passés dans cette famille et qui nous ont permis de découvrir quelques traditions russes au-delà de la sacro-sainte Vodka !

Après la rencontre dans le TransMongolien, Masha et Igor viennent gentiment nous chercher à notre auberge pour aller passer une première nuit dans leur datcha (maison de campagne russe) puis poursuivre les joyeusetés au bord du lac ! La datcha, lieu de résidence secondaire à 20 minutes de chez eux, en banlieue de la ville est une jolie maisonnette en bois,  assortie d’un jardin où papi et mamie font pousser fruits et légumes. La proximité n’a pas l’air de les gêner, la datcha étant au milieu d’une sorte de méga-camping à datchas (y’en avait des milliers) ! Le top de cette datcha (en plus de la banya dont on vous parlera plus tard), ce sont les toilettes sèches du jardin ! C’est certes rustique, mais l’important pour des toilettes sèches, c’est d’être glamour!

Bref, on s’adapte… Après de petites courses (50 litres de bières, 3 litres de vodka, à manger pour un régiment… – le tout pour 7 personnes et 3 jours), nous pouvons attaquer l’apéro sur la petite terrasse de la datcha ! C’est à ce moment que le reste de la famille d’Igor (Papa, Maman et Tata) nous rejoint. Première rencontre avec un fan du président Poutine, c’est bien parti !

J’ai bien essayé d’imaginer Albane avec un t-shirt équivalent en France, mais je n’ai pas pu me résoudre à cette image !

Forts de notre 2ème leçon de voyage (pour rappel à ceux qui n’ont pas suivi : ne jamais sous estimer l’effet sociabilisant de l’alcool), nous faisons connaissance avec tout ce monde… En plus de Masha et Igor, seul le père baragouine 3 mots d’anglais.

Suffisamment pour comprendre ses orientations politiques (oui oui au-delà du t-shirt) sur des questions aussi diverses et variées que le mariage gay (Mais pourquoi la France a-t-elle autorisé le mariage gay ? c’est scandaleux !) ou l’immigration en France (L’islam, c’est bien un gros problème en France, non ?), le tout saupoudré d’amalgames comme on les aime… Et hop, rappel de la leçon 1 (pour ceux qui ne suivent toujours pas : Les rencontres sont belles, certes, mais nous apprenons à calmer nos pulsions pour conserver leur intérêt) ! Bien que ces sujets allaient revenir sur la table les jours suivants (à peu près toutes les heures pour ainsi dire…), nous avons préféré les éviter tant que faire se peut et profiter plutôt de la gentillesse et de l’accueil réservé !

Nous avons d’ailleurs pu tester pendant cette première soirée le sauna russe (banya) construit par Papi dans le jardin ! Instrument de torture, masochisme, on ne sait pas encore mais en tout cas, ça laisse des traces (psychologiques et physiques !)

Le concept : sauna classique : des pierres chaudes arrosées d’eau brulante pour faire monter la température… jusque-là, tout va bien, là où ça se corse c’est au moment où vous êtes allongé sur le dos, que votre hôte (Igor en l’occurrence), s’arme d’un bouquet de branches de bouleau, le trempe dans l’au bouillante, le secoue avec frénésie au–dessus de votre corps et commence à vous frapper avec son arme fraîchement fabriquée (vas-y, fouette moi, Igor !)… Ces gens-là sont fous.

Le but (officiel) : faire sortir de vous toutes les toxines, impuretés et autres trucs pas propres que votre corps emmagasine.

Le but (officieux) : à voir le sourire d’Igor au moment où Marc se faisait fouetter, satisfaire le penchant russo-sadique du bourreau. (et masochiste du supplicié :-))

Contents de cette jolie soirée et après une longue nuit de sommeil (réveil à 5h du mat’), nous voilà partis avec toute cette jolie famille vers le lac Baïkal…

4h de route et 5 arrêts plus tard (oui, en Russie, c’est un arrêt toutes les 50 minutes !), nous arrivons au milieu de nulle part au bord du lac Baïkal dans une petite clairière aménagée pour le camping (table en bois, restes de feux, et décharge publique déjà bien remplie – la notion de respect de la nature n’est pas la même partout…)

Nous arrivons vers 14h, et là, nous réalisons que nous sommes avec une famille professionnelle du camping (des beaufs diront certains…). En 30 minutes, 3 tentes sont montées, le feu est lancé, la table est mise, les bouteilles sont sorties, les maillots de bain sont mis, le week-end peut commencer !

Ah, ils savent profiter du Baïkal, ça c’est sûr ! Pour supporter la fraîcheur de ce lac grand comme la Belgique (instant culture) et ses 12 ou 14 degrés maximum (le lac est gelé la moitié de l’année), il convient de se plier au rituel local : 2 heures et une dizaine de shots de vodka plus tard (accompagnés de bière pour faire passer le tout), nous avons déjà goûté l’eau fraiche 2 ou 3 fois (ça reste un peu flou tout ça !).

Evidemment, pour supporter toutes ces vapeurs éthyliques, les Russes ont pour habitude de manger en continu ! Et nous devons avouer que nous avons plutôt bien mangé ! Là, où en France on se serait nourris de chips et cacahuètes, nous avons eu droit à des spécialités locales cuisinées avec des produits frais comme du bortsch, des courgettes panées et frites dans l’huile, des galettes de pommes de terres mais aussi des cuisses de poulet, du jambon, du saucisson et plein d’autres joyeusetés !

Nota Bene : pour respecter la tradition russe, il est important d’agrémenter tous vos plats d’une bonne dose de mayonnaise industrielle d’origine provençale (oui, c’est ce qui est écrit sur le paquet).

Nous avons donc passé 2 jours à manger, chercher du bois pour faire le feu (attention, chercher du feu + boire de la vodka à gogo, ça donne la maman qui se prend un tronc d’arbre sur le front), danser, picoler et même chanter (ben oui, c’est tellement beau le français, que nous avons dû chanter du Francis Cabrel ou encore Zebda, le tout en étant filmés… on les aime bien les Russes, ils trouvent qu’on chante juste !), mais on s’est bien régalés !

Pour pouvoir passer la dernière soirée, nous partons à la recherche de ravitaillements. Rien de plus simple, il suffit de longer les rails (mais oui c’est safe voyons !) pendant une trentaines de minutes et on arrive à un petit village équipé d’un petit magasin qui vend bel et bien de la vodka ! Et qui est bien sûr orné d’un tout « petit » poster de Poutine!

Après une bonne dernière soirée, nous partons dimanche matin vers une gare dans laquelle passe notre train accompagné de toute la famille. Notre départ est à l’image de ces trois jours, plein d’hospitalité et de gentillesse !

Il faut avouer, qu’une fois abstraction faite des sujets un peu tendus dont nous parlions plus haut, nous avons passé quelques jours vraiment tops et c’était probablement la meilleure manière de découvrir le lac Baïkal en dehors des coins classiques à touristes !
